Sarah Salway published numerous short stories and won several writing competitions, before her first novel, SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH, was published in 2004 by Bloomsbury in the UK and Ballantine in the US (as THE ABCS OF LOVE). It has been translated into several language. Her second novel, TELL ME EVERYTHING, was published by Bloomsbury (UK) and Ballantine (US) in 2007.\


She has published a collection of short stories, LEADING THE DANCE, and, co-authored with Lynne Rees, the experimental collaboration, MESSAGES (both bluechrome publishing)
Sarah trained as a journalist at the London College of Fashion and then went into public relations in London, becoming Account Director at Lynne Franks PR in the 1980s. She worked there on Cosmopolitan, Time Out and the Labour Party accounts, but had most fun relaunching Brylcreem.

Sarah then moved to Edinburgh and worked as a freelance journalist for the Scotsman and Daily Express amongst other papers; she was also on the Scottish Council of the NUJ and become a visiting lecturer in Communication Skills with Queen Margaret University College.

She now lives in Kent with her family, and teaches creative writing with the University of Kent, and the University of Sussex, as well as running her own courses.

She has a Masters in Writing with Distinction from the University of Glamorgan.
